This gadget is the most useful piece of measuring equipment I’ve ever owned. I was intrigued to see how my current measuring cups/spoons/etc ‘measured up’ against this electronic scale. Surprisingly they all measured differently and varied by nearly 1/2 an ounce or so. That’s a lot when measuring exact amounts for baking! With this gadget you can measure an exact amount every time without worrying if the spoon looks a little too full or if the flour you scooped may have been more compacted than usual. If you really want to know how much flour/sugar/baking powder is going into your recipe, you really need this gadget. If you want 1/5 tsp or say .04oz of yeast you can measure out that exact amount.
If I had to ask it to improve in away way, I’d ask them to add an addition function. (which may be there but I’m not using it right) That way when you need 9oz of flour and the spoon only holds 2.9oz, you can add up each scoop together to get the whole 9 oz.
This is really easy to use and quite a bargain and space saver against those expensive little electronic food scale things.

I gave this as a present for my father who is an avid cook and baker. He absolutely loves this spoon and uses it on a daily basis in his kitchen. It’s great for small volume weighing for both cooking and baking. Highly recommended.
